The Ames Main Street Farmers’ Market is pleased to be a part of the Double Up Food Bucks program, a healthy food incentive program that helps low income families eat more healthy food and support local farmers.

The Ames Main Street Farmers' Market will open for the public on Saturday, May 23 after receiving approval from the Ames City Council.  

Earlier today the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) Board announced funding approval for an expansion that will bring six new production lines and related investment to the Amcor Rigid Packaging facility located in Ames, Iowa.  This expansion will result in the creation of 42 new high-quality employment opportunities.
